Heaven is an illusion

Dhruvaloka(Pole Star,துருவ நட்சத்திரம்)  and Srimad Bhagavadam

Dhruvaloka(Pole Star,துருவ நட்சத்திரம்), the abode of Lord Vişnu within this universe, is situated 1,300,000 yojanas from the seven stars (Big Dipper) (Srimad Bhagavadam 5.23.3). Tthe totality of these planetary systems to be Shisumara, another expansion of the external body of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

On the end of its tail is Dhruvaloka, on the body of the tail are Prajāpati, Agni, Indra and Dharma, and on the root of the tail are Dhātā and Vidhātā. On its waist are the seven great sages.

Fastened by the Supreme Personality of Godhead to the machine of material nature according to the results of their fruitive acts, they are driven around the polestar by the wind and will continue to be so until the end of creation. These planets float in the air within the vast sky, just as clouds with hundreds of tons of water float in the air or as the great śyena eagles, due to the results of past activities, fly high in the sky and have no chance of falling to the ground.

Pole star region considered an incarnation of Kṛṣṇa, Vāsudeva. Great yogīs meditate upon Vāsudeva in this form because it is actually visible. SB 5.23.4

On the upper chin of the Shisumara is Agasti; on its lower chin, Yamarāja; on its mouth, Mars; on its genitals, Saturn; on the back of its neck, Jupiter; on its chest, the sun; and within the core of its heart, Nārāyaṇa. Within its mind is the moon; on its navel, Venus; and on its breasts, the Aśvinī-kumāras. Within its life air, which is known as prāṇāpāna, is Mercury, on its neck is Rāhu, all over its body are comets, and in its pores are the numerous stars. SB 5.23.7

The circumpolar constellations (Ursa Major) never seem to set, and they simply rotate around the pole star that basically supported concept of Heaven/God/Shakthi for people of ancient civilizations. Linga is concept of axis mundi (the celestial pole) or navel of the world or Cosmos. Mount Hermon was regarded as the axis mundi in Canaanite tradition. High mountains are worshiped as sacred by peoples living near them considering Circumpolar stars near North Star as Heaven.

The term axis mundi — also called the cosmic axis, world axis, world pillar, center of the world, or world tree — has been greatly extended to refer to any mythological concept representing "the connection between Heaven and Earth".

Every Hindu temple is built on a cosmic plan and the roof tower crowning the shrine refers to Kalasha (The Purna-Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and "source of life" in the Vedas) and temple top represents mount Meru which extends into the heavens pointing towards the world axis.

The above observation from earth is based on earth as a center (geocentric coordinate system). Modern science use heliocentric model (sun as the center). Sun takes us about 230 million years to make one complete orbit around the Milky Way.

If you draw a line across last two stars in Ursa Major, it should always direct to the North Star/Polaris/துருவ நட்சத்திரம். As earth rotates/revolves around sun, URSA Major constellation looks different in different seasons.

Everything is a hydrogen and rest of the elements and life ingredients were cooked in star mother's stomachs and scattered during explosions. Lightest and simplest element, made entirely during the big bang, a new story of modern-day Homo Sapien scientists/rishis. Another story dark matter which comprises 75% of unknown matter in the universe. These scientific hypotheses might be collapsed by future Robo Sapien generations.

In the past few thousand years we had a Religion 1.0. Gods are commercialized to the extent they can be bought or sold in Walmart, Target and Amazon online. After religion 1.0 heaven's collapse, we will be entering into next paradise religion of consciousness/spirituality/meditation, a Spirituality 2.0. The new tools such as yoga, meditation, inner engineering, conscious breathing, mindfulness, meaningfulness, (dance, music), etc. will be commercialized/emphasized in the future.

The swastika symbol, 卐 or 卍, is an ancient religious and cultural symbol.

Heaven is an illusion

Visual rotation of Big Dipper (Saptarishis, seven sages) around fixed pole star(polaris) is an illusion. Stars are not rotating but we along with earth rotating. Polaris star located 323 light-years away (~ 1,818 trillion miles, ~12 million years travel by rocket).

Saptarishis (seven sages, Big Dipper) circumambulates (offering Pradakshinam) around the north star/polaris/shiva abode in a clockwise direction clockwise forming a figure (卐) is called swastika, symbolizing prosperity and good luck. Swastika is a symbol of the sky clock. Shiva's abode is at center (Shivasakthi). In the Rigveda Mt. Meru is described as a transcendental mountain extending from the deepest ocean up into space and the summit of lord Shiva's abode is near the North Star or Polaris. It appeared to ancient people that these circumpolar constellations were controlling the movement of all stars and planets around it. To concentrate their minds, yogis worship the Sisumara planetary system, which is technically known as the kundalini-chakra. Mongolian legend the star is a peg that holds the world together.

If you could locate the north star today at your place, it will in the same place another few thousand years. Polaris is more constant than a magnetic compass, and as such has been a part of navigation and wayfinding techniques around the Northern Hemisphere for generations. Only about 0.7 degree separates Polaris from the North Celestial Pole.

Egyptian ideology. "Circumpolar stars are a very good metaphor for the afterlife because when viewed, they never seem to set, they simply rotate around the pole star. They are the undying stars, or in Egyptian terminology, the Indestructible, a perfect destination for the soul of the dead king. 

Since earth axis of rotation moves like to play toy top, it rotates for 26,000 years. About 4,500 years ago, the Egyptians believed that the unmovable area the stars encircled by 10 degrees each, was heaven in the sense that it was the place of the afterlife. The pole star at the time was Thuban (Alpha Draconis). Please note now north star is Polaris (Dhurva Nakshatra). This will remain as north star for another few thousand stars. After 26,000 years, Polaris again a north star for us. 

The entrances to all the Fourth Dynasty pyramids at Giza (the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure) are in their north faces and the corridors are sloped down from the entrances in such a way that both the circumpolar stars and the pole star were visible. The positioning of the pyramids is such that they do not block each other's views of these stars. Thuban was the nail that held up the heavens. They regarded it as the single unchanging point in the ever-changing heavens. 

Oldest Swastika symbols are from the Mohenjo-Daro and Harappan ruins. 

By 7500 AD, we’ll probably be using the star Alpha Cephei as our North Star.

By 11500 AD, we’ll be using Delta Cygni to find north.

By 14000 AD, we’ll be using the very bright star Vega as our North Star.

By 23000 AD, we’ll be using the dim star Thuban.

By 26,000 more years we will once again using the same Pole Star Polaris!
